Not-for-profit of the Year 2021, 2022 and now 2023!
The Cyber Helpline has been awarded Not-for-profit of the Year at The National Cyber Awards! It is the third year in a row we have had the honour of receiving this award and the whole team is delighted at the recognition of the work we do to support victims of cybercrime & online harm.
The National Cyber Awards rewards those who are committed to cyber innovation, cyber crime reduction and protecting citizens online. The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) is the primary sponsor of the annual awards. The awards ceremony took place at London’s Novotel West and the nominees were Cyber Resilience Centre London, North East Business Resilience Centre, North West Business Resilience Centre and Refuge Tech Safety.
Over the last six years The Cyber Helpline has supported over 40,000 victims of cybercrime and is currently opening over 2,000 new cases per month. We have a unique focus on helping individuals who have fallen victim online and helping to understand what has happened, contain the issue, recover and learn from their experience.
Receiving the award this year, especially after receiving it last two years, had been a massive boost for our volunteers and team members. The amount of hard work and volunteering hours it has taken to build the charity and to support victims who need our help is immense. Getting recognition from the industry like this really helps us take a step back and think about all we have achieved.
A huge thanks to those who nominated us, the judges who see the value in our mission and to all of the volunteers and supporters who make our charity possible.
