The Cyber Helpline Receives 2026 .ORG Impact Awards Honourable Mention

We're proud to share that The Cyber Helpline has received a 2026 .ORG Impact Awards Honourable Mention from Public Interest Registry (PIR), the non-profit organisation behind the .ORG domain.

About the recognition‍ ‍

The .ORG Impact Awards celebrate individuals and organisations using their .ORG domain to drive change and strengthen communities around the world. This year marks the inaugural year of the Honourable Mention category, which recognises 25 organisations worldwide, selected from thousands of submissions, for work that exemplifies innovation, service, and lasting community impact.

The Cyber Helpline is listed alongside a diverse group of changemakers spanning disability sport, literacy, marine conservation, digital skills training, maternal health, and human rights advocacy, among other causes. You can see the full list of this year's Honourable Mentions here.

Why this matters to us

‍ ‍

The Cyber Helpline was founded in 2018 as a movement by the cybersecurity community to fill a gap in support for victims of cybercrime, digital fraud, and online harm. We provide a free, 24/7 self-help service and a confidential helpline, powered by volunteer cybersecurity professionals, to help individuals and sole traders understand, contain, and recover from hacking, fraud, stalking, harassment, intimate image abuse, and other online harms.

‍Our belief is that everyone should have immediate, free access to expert cyber help when they need it. Being recognised by PIR and the .ORG community affirms that this work matters, and encourages us to keep expanding it.

‍ ‍

Thank you

This recognition belongs to our volunteers, partners, and everyone who trusts us to support them through very difficult and distressing moments in their lives. We're grateful to the Public Interest Registry for shining a light on organisations working every day to create meaningful change — and we're committed to expanding our work to ensure people recover from harm and stay safe online.
