The Cyber Helpline now supports victims in the USA
Millions of individuals and families in the USA suffer from cybercrimes such as online scams, cyberstalking, online harassment, sextortion and hacked accounts or devices.
They need expert help to understand and recover from these crimes.
There is no service like The Cyber Helpline in America, and victims are left to fend for themselves. This is why we now officially operate in the USA.
We need more funding and support to be able to help more victims and continue expanding our efforts. Help support our cause.
Our pilot
In 2023, The Cyber Helpline assembled a team of volunteers, funders, and partners to conduct a one-year pilot, delivering our service to victims in the USA.
Over 60,000 users accessed our self-help guides
3,200 victims were advised by our chatbot
Over 200 victims accessed our Helpdesk and got personalised support from cybersecurity experts
The pilot was successful and, kicking off in 2024, we are expanding our services in this country.
Our USA supporters
How can you or your organisation help?
In order to continue expanding our services in the USA, we need the following:
Funding - We are looking for corporate donations or sponsorship to help us raise the funds.
Volunteers - If your organisation has a corporate volunteering scheme in the USA or you are an individual who would like to volunteer, please get in touch.
Partners - Our partners provide tools, expertise and intelligence to help us support victims with cybercrime & online harm. If you are in the cyber industry you may be able to help.
Not-for-profits - Organisations supporting victims in other areas like harassment, domestic abuse, stalking and mental health are likely to be coming up against technical issues with their clients. Working together we can help provide a full range of support to victims.
Professionals - We need a range of skills including marketing, finance, IT and more. If you are passionate about our cause and would like to help then please get in touch.
