Role Summary

The Finance Assistant will play a key role in tracking our finances, supporting planning and submitting key reports. The aim of this role is to free up the leadership team to focus on strategy and allow someone to evolve our finance capability. 

This individual will become key to enabling the leadership team to focus on key priorities and drive the organisation forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns

  • Tracking and projecting cash flow

  • Tracking and projecting profit & loss

  • Reporting key financial KPIs

  • Supporting annual accounts preparation

  • Running payroll

  • Sending & tracking invoices

  • Tracking & paying bills 

  • Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets

  • Adhere to the company’s or organisation’s financial policies and procedures

  • Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed

  • Attend company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives

  • Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.

  • Tracking financial decisions

  • Regulatory reporting

Person Specification

Essential

  • Passionate about our mission of supporting victims of cybercrime. 

  • Excellent administration, written communication and organisation skills

  • Finance experience

  • Excellent mathematical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Honesty and integrity

  • Is a self-starter

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Strong Internet and Microsoft Office/Google Docs skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in similar role

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field (could still be undergraduate)

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Experience with Quickbooks a bonus
