We have helped more than 10,000 victims of cybercrime!
We are proud to announce that we have now passed the 10,000 cases mark meaning we have helped over 10,000 victims and their families recover from cybercrime & online harm.
The Cyber Helpline was launched in 2018 in response to the huge gap in support for victims of cybercrime and online harm. From hacked accounts, cyberstalking and harassment to malicious software, we offer free and confidential advice to people throughout the UK using a mix of an intelligent chatbot and a team of expert volunteers
Over the past three years, our volunteer team has grown rapidly and the performance of the unique chatbot capability has meant the helpline has been able to support more and more victims. It was in good time as the pandemic saw a huge surge in cybercrime and the demand for The Cyber Helpline's services grew by over 350%. The helpline is currently opening 650 new cases per month and this is growing quickly!
The volunteer Helpline Responders are trained to support service users with a variety of cybercrime issues without overwhelming them with technical jargon. The demand for these services continues to grow and so The Cyber Helpline is committed to improving services and growing the team further in order to provide this much needed guidance to people when they need it most.
